Here’s Sacha Baron Cohen as the police inspector of the train station where Hugo lives (along with a Joseph Gordon-Levitt lookalike who saw him on the street). And here’s Ben Kingsley as toy shop runner Georges Méliès who, yes, is also the famous filmmaker.
Actually, theHugo CabretFacebook has a bunch of cool stuff on it. There’s an on-set video, some more set photos, call sheets and more. Here’s the video from the set of the film.
Even if Scorsese was shooting this film in 2D it would be one of our most highly anticipated of 2011. He’s Martin Scorsese after all, and we’ve never seen do a true family film. Plus, no matter what you think of 3D, finally seeing a master filmmaker like Scorsese tackle the medium – in live action none the less – couldpotentially be the next step ahead for the third dimension.
How do you think Cohen and Kingsley look in the film and does Scorsese doing 3D make you any more interested than if other filmmakers were doing it?
