Liam Neeson Confirms ‘Taken 2’ And ‘Wrath Of The Titans’
Narniafans know that when Aslan speaks, you listen. And Aslan the lion, voiced byLiam Neesonin the upcomingThe Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader,is currently doing a lot of speaking. Neeson, out promoting his new film, has confirmed that he’ll start shooting a sequel toClash of the TitanscalledWrath of the Titansin March and that, eventually, we’ll seeTaken 2. Would you like to know more? The Belfast Telegraphwrote two articles about Neeson which talked aboutWrath of the TitansandTaken 2separately.
In regards toTitans, here’s what the star had to say:
I’ve only read half of the script and there is still some work being done – they’re on script 10 – but I think it’s going to be some kick-ass stuff and a very human story to it.
He then added that they start shooting in March and called the film “a whole revamping.” He doesn’t yet know if the film, which will be directed byJonathan Liebesman, is going to be shot in 3D.
As forTaken 2,no real details were given, except that Neeson offered this quote:
And yes, there’ll be aTaken 2, before these limbs give up on me.
Neeson has been extremely busy as of late. He’s gotUnknowncoming out in February and just finished filming small roles both inThe Hangover Part IIfor Todd Phillips andBattleshipfor Peter Berg. He’s also scheduled to filmThe Greywith hisA-Teamdirector Joe Carnahan andAn Ordinary Manfor Brad Sieberling at some point.
Personally, I don’t feel like I had a whole bunch of unanswered questions at the end ofTakenorClash of the Titanswhich would demand a sequel, but each film was a big hit in its own right so it makes financial sense to do follow ups. Are you excited to see sequels to either of these films or would you just prefer Neeson let well enough alone?
