New Behind The Scenes Stills From Tarsem’s Snow White Movie ‘Mirror, Mirror’
The Great Snow White Race of 2011 resulted in two films: Universal’sSnow White and the Huntsman, aLord of the Rings-style action film starring Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth, and Relativity’sMirror, Mirror, a lighter, more family-oriented comedy featuringLily Collins,Julia RobertsandArmie Hammer.
Mirror, Mirrorwill be the first to theaters, with a March 16 release date. Thefirst trailerfor the film didn’t convince me that directorTarsemhad made a movie I’m going to be excited to see, butMirror, Mirrorcould still end up being a decent family movie.

These behind the scenes shots are neat for showing some of the process of turning a giant stage into a snow-covered forest for the film. I didn’t think the shots seen in the trailer demonstrated that the result will be a great effect on film, but we’ll see two months from now.
When Snow White’s beauty wins the heart of the prince that she desperately pursues, the Queen banishes her to the forest, where a ravening man-eating beast hungrily awaits. Rescued by a band of diminutive highway robbers, Snow White grows into an indomitable young woman determined to take back her realm from the treacherous Queen.
